About the event

KYHH is a community-based program that seeks to lower death rates from cardiovascular disease (CVD) by reducing the related risk factors and overcoming health disparities in Chicago. Medical students and attending physicians provide CVD risk assessment and counseling to Chicagoans using the American Heart Association Life’s Simple 7® guidelines. Students will take your blood pressure and walk through a short screening questionnaire to help you learn about your health and how to improve it. They’ll assess any modifiable risk factors and empower you with culturally appropriate health education to aid you in achieving your goals.
